TEHRAN – The government will continue its efforts to obtain the release of four Iranian nationals held by the Zionist regime for 27 years, Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said in a ceremony held to mark the 27th anniversary of the kidnapping incident.

The three diplomats Mohsen Mousavi, Ahmad Motevasellian, Taqi Rastegar Moqaddam, and a reporter Kazem Akhavan, were captured by Phalangist militia allied to the Zionist regime while traveling to southern Lebanon in 1982 and then transferred to a prison in the occupied Palestine.
